Fighting Back Partnership's Family Resource Centers (FRC) support several key programs:
Creating A Beloved Community: Family and the Road to Resilence Program (CaBC)
Creating A Beloved Community: OUD Prevention and Education
South Solano Project Room Key-City of Vallejo
The FRC programs offer support services for families in mitigating homelessness, protecting children and providing essential basic needs. The CaBC expand support services by
providing quality programs for pregnant women and mothers with infants along with their families.
FRC has three objectives: (1) meet basic needs like rental assistance and equitable wage opportunities, (2) increase financial success through sound money management practices,
and (3) support family success through parent education.
These objectives are achieved through:
Linking families and individuals to basic needs resources in their communities
Benefits screening and application assistance for public benefits
Limited emergency financial assistance for rent, utilities, food, and clothing
Financial counseling services that emphasize budgeting and savings
Parent education and skill building to minimize child abuse and neglect
Parent supports to increase engagement in their children’s education
Holiday assistance that includes toys for youth and resources for homeless families
As of Dec 1, 2019,
Over 500 low-income, under resourced families and individuals built more stable and successful futures by partnering with the FRC
Over 50 households received parent education to enhance their parenting skills through age-appropriate discipline practices, nurturing principles, and an increased understanding of child
development from infancy through the adolescent years
The FRC prevented over 100 at-risk families from either becoming homeless or assisting homeless families with acquiring new homes.
