Fighting Back Partnership developed the Positive Youth Development Programs to operate in all three Vallejo City Unified School District (VCUSD) high schools to provide
youth Alcohol, Tobacco and other Drugs (ATOD) use prevention education curricula and Child Abuse Prevention Education. The programs aim to equip students with information and tools
to help them navigate the challenges they face in their everyday interactions and to give them the confidence and wherewithal to make informed and healthy decisions.

Advocate for banning ESDs in places that already ban other tobacco use.
Support Youth Partnership, a coalition of youth working to reduce ESD and tobacco use among youth in Vallejo
Educate others about the harms of ESDs and other tobacco products
The Positive Youth Development Program is sponsored by the Solano County Department of Health and Social Services and the Vallejo City Unified School District.

To optimize effectiveness, we understand that creating well-adjusted youth must also include support for their families and the schools that they attend.
Fighting Back Partnership’s Family Engagement Strategy offers academic, physical, and social support for children 0 – 18 and their parents, with the goal of increasing
parent participation in their children’s educational and social development.
Fighting Back Partnership Supports VCUSD's Full Service Community School Strategy to provide comprehensive academic, social, mental, and physical education services in
Vallejo’s public schools so that youth and their families identify a clearer pathway from preschool to college and career.
